One of the best parts of trading card games is the excitement of opening fresh products and playing new cards. But too often, these moments get hijacked by scalpers and inflated prices, leaving players scrambling to keep up.
This is why we created the Weekly Roll.
What Is the Weekly Roll?
The Weekly Roll is Spindown’s rotating spotlight on unique, curated products. Every week, we put together a special release for players — from singles and playsets to accessories or themed drops.
It’s not about hype or profit. It’s about giving back to the community and making sure players have a fair shot at cool cards and gear.
Why We Do It
We built the Weekly Roll for three reasons:
- Consistency: You shouldn’t have to fight scalpers to get something cool.
- Community: A fun ritual that celebrates our passion for trading card games.
- Fairness: Products are priced for players, not profit margins.
We never make a profit on Weekly Roll items. Sometimes prices may sit above MSRP, but that only happens when we’ve sourced a product “in the wild” at or above MSRP ourselves. In those cases, the price only covers our actual costs and fees. Nothing more.
And sometimes, the Weekly Roll may even include free items you can just add to your cart, as a thank you to the community.
To keep things fair, the Weekly Roll will be managed and operated through a private channel our Discord. That way, we can make sure these drops go directly to real players, not flippers looking to make a quick buck.
What to Expect
Each Weekly Roll will be a little different, but here’s the kind of thing you’ll see:
- Discounted Playsets: Copies of staple singles at a fair bundled price.
- Curated Bundles: Themed collections for different formats.
- Accessories & Extras: Dice, sleeves, or storage solutions at fair prices.
- Surprise Specials: Event promos, exclusives, and hard-to-find products.
- Freebies: Occasionally, zero-cost add-ons just for being part of our community.

The goal is to make sure there’s always something worth rolling for, whether you’re a competitive player, or just starting out.
We do ask one small favour: if you don’t actually need or want a Weekly Roll item, please don’t grab it “just in case.” Let it go to someone who does so the community benefits most.
